Coal Valley Pups is a family-owned business with over 15 years of experience in breeding high-quality assistance and therapy puppies. We raise our dogs on our peaceful 25-acre property, ensuring they are well-socialised and come ready to start their early life, desiring to be your loyal companion. We specialise in breeding golden retrievers and golden retriever-labrador crosses. We are registered microbreeders, (MB117939 & MB135587). We have provided Court Dogs Victoria with two beautiful dogs, River and Pepper. You can look up one of our previous puppies, Lina, who has become famous as an assistance dog for JJ. Court Dogs Victoria
My name is Tessa Stow, I am a Government approved Assistance Dog Trainer, and Court Dog Trainer. I have had the opportunity to be working with two incredible dogs, gifted as puppies to Court Dogs Victoria by Ben from Coal Valley Pups. The first pup was River, who I trained under my business " K9 Support". River started her working life at the Coroners Court Victoria, being mentored by "Coop" Australia's first Court Dog.
River then went on to work for the Victoria Police Academy, and with PRIME within VicPol. She is still doing some Court work in Victoria, and embarking on Animal Assisted Therapy. She has an incredible empathy and intuition, and knows which people need her help.
Pepper is the second pup, who I trained for Victoria Police, and is now working for MCIU (Major Collision Investigation Unit) working as an Engagement Dog for the team. She loves her role there, and is loved very much by all the team.
The puppies are raised on a lovely property with other animals and the children have a lot to do with the raising of the pups, so they are very stable around children. I would certainly recommend buying a pup from Ben and his family at Coal Valley Pups.
